Glenville defeats Kutztown, 7-3 (Game 3)
A wild final day of the Atlantic Super Regional saw Kutztown earn a win in Game 2 thanks to a pair of late two-run homers from Alexa Stevens and Sophia Collins to force a decisive Game 3. In the third game, though, Glenville held on for the 7-3 win to end Kutztown's season. The Golden Bears end the 2026 campaign with an overall record of 39-22.
ATLANTIC SUPER REGIONAL - DAY 1
Glenville State defeats Kutztown, 10-6
Kutztown fell to Glenville St., 10-6, in the first game of the best-of-three series. KU led, 4-0, but did not score after the 5th inning. Game two begins Friday at 1:00 PM.
ATLANTIC REGIONAL - DAY 3
Kutztown defeats East Stroudsburg, 8-2
Kutztown advanced to next weekend's Super Regional with an 8-2 win over East Stroudsburg. Five Golden Bears had multi-hit games, (Jamie Madara, Ashley Schultz, Emily Henn, Jenna Piatkiewicz, and Alexa Stevens), while Morgan Kocher, Henn, and Piatkiewicz all collected two RBIs. KU will play the winner of Glenville St./Charleston next weekend.
ATLANTIC REGIONAL - DAY 2
Kutztown defeats East Stroudsburg, 5-2
Kutztown started off Friday with a 5-2 win over East Stroudsburg, as Morgan Kocher, Alexa Stevems. and Ashley Schulz each tallied a pair of hits to lead the Golden Bears while Amanda Slabicki tossed 7.0 innings and allowed just five hits and one earned run.
Charleston defeats Shippensburg, 2-1
The high-powered Shippensburg offense was held to just one run, as Charleston took down the PSAC champions, 2-1. Charleston scored two runs in the bottom of the first and held on for the win, limiting SU to just six hits, including two from Rilee Ehrlacher at the bottom of the lineup.
Fairmont State defeats West Chester, 1-0 (8 innings)
West Chester's season came to a close on Friday afternoon after an extra-inning loss to Fairmont State, 1-0. Danielle Ciliberto tossed 7.0 innings of scoreless softball but was tagged with a leadoff double and game-ending RBI single in the eighth.
Glenville St. defeats Shippensburg, 6-1
Shippensburg's season came to a close (39-18 overall record) after the 6-1 loss to Glennville St. Glenville took the lead, 4-0, after the bottom of the first inning and Shippensburg's only run came in the top of the second on a Brie WIlmot sac fly.
East Stroudsburg defeats Fairmont St., 6-0
ESU blanked Fairmont St., 6-0, behind 4.2 innings of one-hit softball from ace Sarah Davenport, who improved her record to 25-11 on the year. She struck out seven and walked only two. Four ESU batters compiled two hits in the game, including Tulana Mingin, Megan Chroniger, Katie Master, and Karlye Teman. The Warriors now advance to play Kutztown once again on Saturday, where they would have to defeat the Golden Bears twice to advance to next week's Super Regional.
ATLANTIC REGIONAL - DAY 1
East Stroudsburg defeats Fairmont State, 1-0
East Stroudsburg ace Sarah Davenport allowed just two hits, no walks, no runs, and struck out nine in a masterful shutout over Fairmont State in Thursday's 1-0 victory. She got all the run support she would need in the fourth inning from a Katie Master solo homer to left center, as Master ended the day 2-for-3. Megan Chroniger also had a pair of hits for the Warriors, including a double, as ESU advances to Friday's second round, where they will face familiar foe Kutztown.
Shippensburg defeats Claflin, 8-0 (five innings)
Shippensburg dispatched Claflin, 8-0, in just five innings in Thursday's opening round. Brie Wilmot, batting in the leadoff spot, totaled two hits and three RBIs. Emilee Sullivan, Caitlyn Martell, and Gianna Cimino also collected a pair of hits in the victory -- while pitcher Dani Hayward allowed just three hits and one walk in her five innings of work while striking out seven. The Raiders will play Charleston on Friday in the next round.
Kutztown defeats West Chester, 8-4
The battle of PSAC Eastern Division teams went to Kutztown, 8-4, in the opening round of Thursday's Atlantic Regional. Emily Henn and Ashley Schultz each had a pair of hits in the win, with Henn adding two RBIs -- as did Sophia Collins, who launched a two-run double in the fourth inning. West Chester's Kayla Fitzpatrick went 2-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs to lead the Golden Rams. West Chester now drops to the elimination bracket, where they will have to survive and advance against Fairmont St.
INDIANAPOLIS - Four Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference softball programs were selected to compete in the 2026 NCAA Division II Softball Championship -- and claimed the top three seeds in the Atlantic Region bracket. No. 1 seed and 2026 PSAC Champion Shippensburg will host one Atlantic Region pod and faces No. 8 Claflin, the CIAA champion. Also at Shippensburg in the other Atlantic Region quarterfinal are No. 4 Glenville St. (the MEC champion) and No. 5 Charleston. No. 2 seed East Stroudsburg's pod finds them taking on No. 7 Fairmont St. in the quarters -- with the winner advancing to face the winner of No. 3 Kutztown and No. 6 West Chester.
The 64-team championship field will start with regionals on Thursday, May 14, with Super Regionals beginning on Thursday, May 21. The Finals take place from Thursday, May 28 through Wednesday, June 3 at Frost Stadium at Warner Park, Chattanooga, TN. First, four teams will participate at each of 16 regional sites in a double-elimination tournament. The 16 teams advancing from regional competition will then participate in a two-team, best-of-three super regional at eight sites. The finals will include the eight super regional winners. The national champion will be determined in a best-of-three final series.
