Tied at No. 20 overall, East Stroudsburg and Gannon are both the highest-placing PSAC institutions. Following the Golden Rams is a duo of PSAC institutions squeaking into the Top 50: IUP in 44th place with 401.00 points and Kutztown at 48 with 374.00 points.
Overall, the 16 PSAC institutions accumulated at least 25 points to make an appearance in the final standings.
The Learfield Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in NCAA Championships. Overall, 15 sports are counted in the final Division II standings, four of which must be women's volleyball, basketball, men's basketball, and baseball. The next highest sports (11 maximum) scored for each institution, regardless of gender, are used in the standings.
