PSAC Field Hockey Athletes of the Week - 8

The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced its Field Hockey Athletes of the Week. East Stroudsburg's Nicole Krozser was selected as the Athlete of the Week and Bloomsburg's Jackie Nevel earned the Defensive Athlete of the Week honor for the second consecutive week.

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced its Field Hockey Athletes of the Week. East Stroudsburg's Nicole Krozser was selected as the Athlete of the Week and Bloomsburg's Jackie Nevel earned the Defensive Athlete of the Week honor for the second consecutive week.

In a 2-0 week for the second-ranked East Stroudsburg University field hockey team, Krozser paced the Warriors offensively as the graduate student scored three goals. Krozer found the back of the cage twice in a 5-1 victory over #1 Shippensburg and recorded her team-high 10th goal of the season in a 3-0 victory over Mercyhurst. Krozser currently ranks tied for fifth in the PSAC in goals and eighth in points (21).

Nevel posted a pair of shutouts in the Huskies 2-0 week, extending her shutout streak to five games. She stopped all four shots she faced against No. 8 Millersville before recording six saves on the road against Frostburg State. Nevel's shutout streak is the longest for the Huskies since 2011. She has not allowed a goal since the end of the first quarter of team's contest against Kutztown, over 345 minutes of play.
