LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced the women’s lacrosse athletes of the week. From the East, Millersville's Ashlyn Simonetti was named the Athlete of the Week while West Chester's Kendall DiCamillo received the Defensive Athlete of the Week award. From the West, Seton Hill's Grace Agnello was awarded Athlete of the Week, with IUP's Rylee Wilson rounding out the selections as Defensive Athlete of the Week.

Simonetti totaled 12 points from five goals and seven assists in the Marauders 2-0 week against Bloomsburg and Shippensburg. Against the Huskies, Simonetti scored three goals and led the team in assists (4) and points (7). In Millersville’s victory over the Raiders, the sophomore scored two goals and led the Marauders in assists with three for five points on the day. Simonetti fired three shots against Shippensburg with two landing on goal and went 1-for-1 in free position shots.

DiCamillo grabbed nine ground balls, caused seven turnovers, scooped up one draw control, and registered one assist in West Chester's two wins last week. More importantly, she was a huge reason that the Golden Rams shut out Shippensburg (21-0) and held the Raiders to just 10 shots - only one of those on goal. Her stifling defense against Bloomsburg led West Chester to an 18-8 victory. She picked up six ground balls and caused six turnovers in that win.

Agnello led SHU to a 2-0 week, clinching a spot in the PSAC Tournament with an 11-point week. She scored eight goals and added three assists. Grace also picked up four ground balls. She scored five times in the win at Gannon then had three goals and three assists in the win at Slippery Rock.

Wilson contributed across the board during a pair of conference wins for IUP last week, posting four goals, six ground balls, three caused turnovers, and 19 total draw controls. She had 10 draw controls against Mercyhurst on April 12 and nine against Edinboro on April 15, including picking up four ground balls with a pair of caused turnovers against the Fighting Scots.
