Julian Costa
West Chester
Pitcher
Redshirt Freshman
Mantua, N.J. / Clearview

Costa was masterful on the mound for West Chester on Friday afternoon vs No. 14 East Stroudsburg, tossing a complete-game three hitter, which saw him strikeout seven and face just four batters over the minimum in a 6-0 victory for the Golden Rams. East Stroudsburg only had more than one base runner in the same inning once (second inning) and never advanced a runner to third. They were retired in order in six of the nine frames. This effort also marked the second time in three conference games that Costa went the distance on the mound to earn the victory for the Golden Rams as he also pitched a complete-game (seven innings) in game one of a doubleheader vs Bloomsburg earlier this month.

Marra went a combined 6-for-10 with a three-run homer, eight RBIs, two runs scored and one hit by pitch on Tuesday in a doubleheader at Fairmont State. The following day, the Uniontown native finished 2-for-3 with one RBI, one run scored and one hit by pitch against Ohio Dominican. Engel tossed his first career shutout and second straight complete game in 10-0 win over Clarion. He limited the Golden Eagles to just three singles, walking one, and striking out five. Engel went to a three-ball count on just one batter, the leadoff batter in the top of the seventh, and allowed just one runner to reach second base. Engel has now allowed just one earned run in his last 19 innings while improving to 3-0 and lowering his ERA to 2.87.
