LOCK HAVEN, Pa. --- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference released its third set of Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week. For the women, Slippery Rock's Anna Igims (Track) and East Stroudsburg's Samiyah Little (Field) were honored. On the men's side, Slippery Rock's AJ Virata (Track) was selected, as was the pair of Co-Athletes for Field: East Stroudsburg's Cole Gorham and The Rock's Bradon Schneider.

Igims won the 3,000-meter run at Kent State Saturday in her indoor season debut with a time of 10:15.16, topping a pair of Division I runners from Duquesne and Kent State in second and third. Her time is the fastest in the PSAC this winter by more than nine full seconds and came in a race that also included two of the other six total women that have recorded a PSAC qualifying mark in the event so far this winter.

In the season-opener, Samiyah Little broke the school record in the weight throw on her second attempt at the Lions Indoor Invitational as she recorded a mark of 17.72m (58-1 ¾). The junior went on to earn a runner-up finish in the event as well as an NCAA provisional mark, which currently ranks 13th in Division II as well as first in the PSAC.

Virata won the 200-meter dash at the Jud Logan Memorial hosted by Kent State Jan. 13 with a time of 21.78 seconds, topping a field that included 37 total entries and four Division I runners that finished in the top 10. Virata also ran a leg of the 2nd place 4x400-meter relay at Kent State, which posted a time of 3:19.36 to rank No. 1 in the PSAC this winter. He also finished seventh in the finals of the 60-meter dash in 6.93 seconds to round out a strong performance in SRU's first meet since the opening weekend in December.

Gorham got the season underway in impressive fashion as the junior took first place in the shot put at the Lions Indoor Invitational with an NCAA provisional mark of 17.03m (55-10 ½) on his final attempt. It was a personal-best throw for Gorham, who currently ranks second in the PSAC and 11th in NCAA Division II.

Schneider cleared 4.90 meters in the pole vault (16' 0.75") in his second-ever collegiate competition Saturday at Kent State. That mark is an NCAA provisional qualifying mark that ranks No. 11 in all of Division II so far this winter. Schneider finished in fifth overall at the Kent State meet, but was the top non-Division I vaulter in the standings with four Division I jumpers finishing ahead of him. He defeated SRU teammates Dan Hyatt (2023 PSAC champion) and Drew Layton (currently No. 4 in PSAC) head-to-head in the competition.
