LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced its Men’s Indoor Track & Field Major Award winners for the 2024-25 season.
The awards are determined by a vote of the conference’s head coaches. The top three finishers in each event at the PSAC Championships are recognized as All-Conference performers. That list is linked above.
Track Athlete of the Year: Michael Fellin, Kutztown
Field Athlete of the Year: Cole Gorham, East Stroudsburg
Freshman of the Year: Logan Anderson, Slippery Rock
Coaching Staff of the Year: Shippensburg
Michael Fellin of Kutztown, a junior, was voted the 2024-25 Track Athlete of the Year. He was the PSAC champion in the 60m dash and tied the conference’s all-time record with a time of 6.65, which was the fourth-fastest time in Division II and also KU program record. He followed that up with a Second Team All-America honor at the NCAA national meet.
East Stroudsburg senior Cole Gorham was selected as the 2024-25 Field Athlete of the Year after finishing as runner-up (All-America honors) in the shot put at this year’s Division II NCAA Championships. He was also the PSAC champion in that event and had the best throw (61’6.75) in the Atlantic Region. That distance was also an ESU record and the PSAC’s No. 2 all-time throw in the event.
The 2024-25 Freshman of the Year award went to Slippery Rock’s Logan Anderson. He finished third in the Heptathlon at the PSAC Championship with a score of 4,962 for All-PSAC honors. He also finished fifth in the long jump at that meet. The point total was an NCAA provisional mark and ranked him 29
th on the NCAA Division II list.
The Coaching Staff of the Year award was given to Shippensburg University. This year’s staff led the Raiders to their 14
th consecutive PSAC championship, with honors from that meet including Overall MVP Tommy Crum Jr. The staff also guided 10 male student-athletes to USTFCCCA All-Region honors.
