A season after earning the PSAC Freshman of the Year award, West Chester’s Paul Demesy was selected as Athlete of the Year. Demesy qualified in four events at the 2024 NCAA Division II Swimming Championships, collecting two All-America honors and one Honorable Mention All-America nod. He finished third at the national meet in the 1650 Freestyle (15:11.53), sixth in the 1000 Free (9:07.17), and 10th in the 500 Free (4:25.36). His time in the 1650 was a new PSAC all-time record. At the conference meet, Demesy was the champion in the 1000 and 1650 Free, third place in the 500 Free, and fourth place in the 200 Free. He set a new PSAC meet record in the 1650 Free and his 72 points scored tied with teammate Kolos Nagy for most in the entire conference.

Another West Chester Golden Ram, Danny Dunigan, was named Freshman of the Year. Dunigan qualified for four events at the NCAA meet and earned a Honorable Mention All-America honor in the 500 Free in addition to an 18th-place finish in the 1000 Free. At the PSAC meet, he tallied a trio of runner-up finishes in the 200, 1000, and 1650 Freestyle events and finished third in the 500 Free. He was also part of the first-place 800 Free relay team and scored 67 individual points at the conference meet, more than any other freshman.

Clarion head coach Bree Kelley captures her second consecutive PSAC Men’s Swimming Coach of the Year honor after leading the Golden Eagles to a second-place finish at the 2024 PSAC Swimming Championships, the best result for the team since 2011 and an improvement over last year’s third-place mark. The Clarion men produced three All-America Honorable Mention honors in 2024 at the NCAA Division II Championships. The PSAC Men’s Swimming Coach of the Year honor is Clarion’s seventh all-time.
