PSAC Women's Basketball Athletes of the Week - 3

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. --- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference has announced the women’s basketball athletes of the week. In the East, Shepherd's Lamaria Estridge and West Chester's Jordin Tate were selected. In the West, Pitt-Johnstown's Liv West and Edinboro's Rachel Manfredo earned the honor.

Estridge averaged 19.5 points and six rebounds per game in a 1-1 week for Shepherd. In the victory against Point Park, she scored 23 points with four rebounds (three offensive), a trio of three pointers, and a steal. In the loss against No. 11 Fairmont St., she tallied 16 points, eight rebounds, a block, and a steal to pace the Rams.

Tate grabbed seven rebounds, came away with four steals, and blocked a pair of shots to help the West Chester University women's basketball team storm back and defeat Jefferson 58-54 on the road on Sunday afternoon. All seven of Tate's rebounds came on the defensive glass, including the final defensive rebound of the game after a potential game-tying three from Jefferson was off target. Tate also scored six points, including a 2-for-3 effort from the field and a 2-for-4 effort at the free throw line.

West scored a career-high 35 points (12-21 FG, 6-10 3FG, 5-5 FT), career-high 12 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals in 83-79 win over West Virginia State, Tuesday afternoon in the Sports Centee. She scored 16 consecutive points to help Pitt-Johnstown erase a 15-point deficit with 8:49 remaining in the third quarter.

Manfredo paced the Scots as they held Charleston to just 49 points in their 61-49 victory on Wednesday. She scored 18 points to go with seven rebounds, four steals and a block. She was 7-of-14 from the field including 4-of-4 from beyond the arc.
