LOCK HAVEN, Pa. --- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference released its first set of Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week. For the women, California's Loreena Manser (Track) and Alice Etienne (Field) were honored. For the men, Shippensburg's Gabriel Lewis is Track Athlete of the Week while Shippensburg's Gian Greggo and Slippery Rock's Logan Anderson were selected as Co-Field Athletes of the Week.
Women's Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week
Loreena Manser
California
Sprints / Jumps

Chesapeake, Va. / Grassfield
Manser reached a pair of NCAA provisional standards and three PSAC qualifying marks on Friday while opening the season at the Youngstown State Icebreaker. She set a personal record with a NCAA qualifying time of 7.57 seconds during the preliminaries of the 60-meter dash before placing sixth in the finals behind four NCAA Division I entries and a four-time NCAA Division III All-American. Manser also crossed the finish line second overall in the 200-meter dash with a NCAA qualifying time of 24.43 seconds – the fastest indoor time of her career. The Virginia native additionally reached the PSAC qualifying standard in the long jump with a distance of 5.56 meters (18-3.0 feet) on Friday at YSU.

Etienne won the triple jump at the Youngstown State Icebreaker while reaching the NCAA provisional standard in the event. Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week
Gabriel Lewis
Shippensburg
Sprints
Junior
Lebanon, Pa. / Cedar Crest (St. Joseph's)
At Bucknell's Bison Opener, Gabriel Lewis broke the school record in the 60 meters twice – first in the prelims by running 6.74 seconds. He came back about an hour later and delivered a blazing time of 6.67 seconds – just .02 seconds off the PSAC record shared by Slippery Rock's Brad Mueller and Kutztown's Michael Fellin – to establish the top spot in Shippensburg University history. His performance supplants Stephon Brown's record (6.75 seconds) from 2021. For a comparison on the national level – 6.67 seconds tied for eighth on the NCAA Division II performance list last season and was enough to make it to the national championships. However, there is scant margin in the 60-meter dash on the national level as 6.70 seconds was a tie for 19th place on the performance list. It is currently the top time in the 60 on the national performance list (as of 2:55 PM EST Sunday). Lewis would've cracked the SU all-time Top 10 in the 200 meters if not for two teammates in their Raider debuts who currently rank in the two spots above him on the PSAC performance list. Lewis finished fourth overall in 22.22.
60 METERS - 6.67 in finals, 6.74 in prelims (ranks 1st on the NCAA D2 performance list)
200 METERS - 22.22 (3rd on PSAC performance list behind his two teammates)
Men's Indoor Field Co-Athlete of the Week
Gian Greggo
Shippensburg
Throws
Junior
Pen Argyl, Pa. / Pen Argyl
Greggo recorded new personal bests in both of his throws in Saturday's season debut. Greggo broke the all-time SU record in the weight throw with a quantum leap. He entered the day with a personal best of 55 feet (16.76 meters). On his first attempt in the circle, Greggo unleashed a monster toss of 64 feet, 6 ½ inches. The 9 ½-foot PR moved him past Josh Herbster (63 feet, 8 ¼ inches (19.41 meters)) and atop Shippensburg's all-time list. As a point of comparison, that mark would have ranked 14th on last year's NCAA Division II performance list – East Stroudsburg's Anthony Voto won the conference meet last year with a throw of 64 feet, 6 inches. It was one of two personal bests on the day for Greggo – he improved his No. 3 all-time ranking in the shot put with a PR of 57 feet, 1 ½ inches (17.41 meters) that was also achieved on his first attempt. He finished second to a Penn State thrower in both events at Bucknell's Bison Opener. Greggo ranks eighth on the NCAA performance list in the weight throw and 10th on the NCAA performance list in the shot put. On the PSAC performance list, Greggo is the No. 1 weight thrower and the No. 2 shot putter behind SRU's Seaton Wozniak.
WEIGHT THROW - 64-6.5 (19.67m) [#1 in PSAC, #8 in D2, school record]
SHOT PUT - 57-1.5 (17.41m) [#2 in PSAC, #10 in D2, PR (#3 in SU history)]

He broke the former SRU program record of 5,021 points that was set by Hans Lubich in an All-America performance at the 2014 national championship meet.
