LOCK HAVEN, Pa. --- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced its fourth set of Baseball Athletes of the Week. In the West, Gannon's Wes Parker (Athlete of the Week) and California's Jackson Miller (Pitcher of the Week) were selected. In the East, Millersville's Matthew Williams (Athlete) and West Chester's Kyle Lazer (Pitcher) earned the honors.

Wes Parker, who was just cleared to play during Gannon's Florida trip after suffering a broken jaw several weeks ago, hit .500 (10-for-20) with two doubles, three homers, a triple, nine RBIs, and six runs scored. He slugged 1.150 as Gannon went 4-1 during the trip, including a win at No. 20 Rollins.

Miller was part of combined no-hitter in Game 2 of a doubleheader against Ohio Dominican on Thursday. He worked a total of 5.1 scoreless innings in a pair of appearances last week when California played five games in Florida. Miller retired one batter in relief on Tuesday against West Virginia Wesleyan before returning to the mound two days later. The Uniontown native recorded six strikeouts and issued three walks over 5.0 no-hit innings versus Ohio Dominican. Cal used a pair of relievers over the final two innings to complete the program’s first no-hitter since 2022 and first combined no-hitter in at least 18 years.

Matthew Williams hit .400 with two home runs, scored six and drove in seven in games against Jefferson and Concord. He also posted a .526 OBP, drawing two walks and getting hit by two pitches. He was on base in all four games. His top game of the week was game one of the Concord series. He went 4 for 7 with three RBIs, four runs and a homer.

Kyle Lazer (Havertown, Pa./Msgr. Bonner & Prendie) was outstanding on Saturday against Mercy as the redshirt-junior pitched a six-inning gem, scattering just four hits and one unearned run, while striking out 14, which is a new career high for the reliever-turned-starter. Lazer’s 14 strikeouts are also the most by a Golden Ram pitcher in at least the last 15 seasons.
