PSAC Baseball Athletes of the Week - 7

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. --- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced its seventh set of Baseball Athletes of the Week. In the West, California's Santino Marra (Athlete of the Week) and Lock Haven's Jason Labrador (Pitcher of the Week) were selected. In the East, East Stroudsburg's Jack Rothenhausler (Athlete of the Week) and Millersville's Connor Blantz earned Pitcher of the Week honors.

Marra hit at a .500 clip (8-for-16) with seven RBI over five games last week, including a split of a four-game series in PSAC West play. He finished with a 1.475 OPS behind four extra-base hits, three hit by pitches and one walk. Marra tallied three hits, including a game-tying two-run inside-the-park homer, four RBI and one hit by pitch on Tuesday against Point Park. The Uniontown native then reached base twice (single, hit by pitch) and stole two bases in a doubleheader at Gannon Friday. Marra collected four hits (three doubles), three RBI, one run scored, one walk and one hit by pitch in a twinbill on Sunday versus the Golden Knights.

Southpaw Jason Labrador pitched a complete game against No. 12 Seton Hill to put an exclamation point on the Bald Eagles two-game sweep over the nationally-ranked Griffins last Friday. Labrador allowed four hits, only one earned run, and collected three strikeouts along the way. Labrador's complete game was the first complete game thrown from a Bald Eagle this season and was the first time the Griffins had been swept at home since April of 2024 (IUP).

Jack Rothenhausler led ESU to a 4-0 week, posting a 2.042 OPS. He slashed .500/.625/1.417 with three home runs, two doubles and 10 RBIs in PSAC competition. Defensively, Rothenhausler was perfect with eight assists and four putouts.

Connor Blantz took a perfect game into the fifth, a no-hitter into the seventh and finished off a win over Shippensburg with one unearned run allowed on two hits over 6 ? innings. He did not allow a walk and struck out eight batters.
