Pulliam, Gentile highlight 2024-25 PSAC Women's Basketball All-Conference Teams and Major Awards

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference has announced the 2024-25 Women’s Basketball All-Conference Teams and Major Award winners.

The All-Conference teams and Major Awards are determined by votes from the conference’s head coaches. Voting was concluded after the regular season and prior to the beginning of the PSAC tournament.

EAST

Kutztown’s Naia Pulliam was voted PSAC Eastern Division Athlete of the Year. Pulliam led the Golden Bears to the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Division and an overall record of 19-11 (14-7 PSAC) by averaging 17.1 points per game (third-most in the conference), 5.7 rebounds, and ranking in the top five in field goal percentage (.492) and top 10 in three pointers made per game (1.8). Pulliam played 994 minutes in the regular season, the second-most among all players in the regular season.

Lock Haven’s Alana Robinson was named Eastern Division Defensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive year after another dominant year in the paint for the Bald Eagles. She ranked in the top three in the PSAC in both blocks (1.6 per game, second) and steals (2.6 per game, third) while her 5.8 rebounds per contest landed her in the top 25. LHU held opponents to just 59.1 points a game (fourth-lowest in the PSAC) and led the conference in rebounding margin at 7.4 per game.

Brie Droege of East Stroudsburg was named Eastern Division Freshman of the Year after starting 27 games for the Warriors, averaging 11.1 points and 4.0 rebounds for the season. She added totals of 47 assists in 35 steals in her stellar debut season.

Bloomsburg head coach Alison Tagliaferri earns her second career Eastern Division Coach of the Year award, having previously been honored in 2019. She guided the Huskies back to the playoffs as the East’s No. 3 seed with an overall record of 17-11 (11-10 in conference play) just a season after finishing out of the postseason with an 8-20 overall record (6-16 PSAC). Bloomsburg boasts the conference’s third-best scoring defense, allowing opponents to score just 58.4 points per game in the regular season.

WEST

Edinboro’s Morgan Gentile was named Western Division Athlete of the Year after averaging 15.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.7 assists (most in the conference), and 2.3 steals per game for the No. 1-seeded Fighting Scots, who finished the regular season 22-5 (17-3 PSAC) and were second in the conference in team scoring average per game with 74 points.

Seton Hill sophomore Mia Kalich put together an impressive campaign to earn Western Division Defensive Player of the Year honors. She averaged 10.9 rebounds per game (third-most in the conference), led the PSAC in steals with 4.0 per game, and cracked the top 15 with 0.9 blocks per contest.

Edinboro’s Rachel Manfredo was named Western Division Freshman of the Year after a solid first season for the Scots. She averaged 7.0 points (shooting an impressive .589 clip from the floor) and 4.1 rebounds a game off the bench on top of solid defensive efforts, including 33 blocks and 22 steals.

Seton Hill head coach Maeve Gallagher was voted Western Division Coach of the Year after leading the Griffins to a 22-5 overall record (16-4 PSAC) in the regular season. The team led the entire conference in points per game (82.3), which is over eight points over the second-closest (Edinboro’s 74.0 points.) The Griffins also led the PSAC in rebounding (41.7 per game), blocks (4.93), assists (16.0), and steals (13.11).
