LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference has announced its Men’s Basketball Athletes of the Week. In the West, IUP's Dallis Dillard (Athlete of the Week) and Slippery Rock's Kerwin Prince (Defensive Athlete) were selected. In the East, Shepherd Marcus Banks (Athlete) and Millersville's Carnell Henderson (Defensive) were honored.

Dillard averaged 30 points per game over two games this week, including the first 30-point triple-double in program history. Dillard had 30 points, 11 assists, and ten rebounds in a non-conference win over Penn State DuBois. He also had a 30-point, 12-rebound double-double in a grind-it-out win over Edinboro. In the game against Edinboro, Dillard scored 30 points himself, while the rest of the team combined for 43. For the week, Dillard also added four steals.

Prince led Slippery Rock to a much-needed PSAC West victory last week as The Rock downed Pitt-Johnstown, 85-67, in its lone game of the week. Prince powered his way to a 24-point, 12-rebound double-double that also included five steals. He dominated in the second half as SRU turned a two-point halftime advantage into an 18-point win thanks in no small part to six rebounds, four steals, and 13 points from Prince's interior play in the final 20 minutes.

Banks averaged 22.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 5.5 assists to lead the Rams to a 2-0 week as Shepherd extended its winning streak to five games. Banks had 19 points in a win over Shippensburg on Monday and added 26 in a double overtime win over East Stroudsburg.

Henderson earned his first three starts of the season and led Millersville to a 3-0 week with a road win over first-place West Chester. Henderson totaled eight steals in the three games, and helped hold West Chester more than 10 points below its season average. Against Shippensburg, he drew the assignment of guarding Markus Frank, one of the PSAC's leading scorers, and he held Frank to nine points--his lowest output of the season--on 4 of 13 shooting. Henderson then helped Millersville hold Mansfield to 64 points on Saturday. Millersville's three opponents during the week averaged 66.3 points per game.
