LOCK HAVEN, Pa. --- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced its seventh set of Baseball Athletes of the Week. In the East, Bloomsburg's Grant Russo was named Athlete of the Week while Millersville's Rece Ritchey (Pitcher of the Week) was also selected. In the West, Seton Hill's Jack Whalen (Athlete) and Zach Herb (Pitcher) earned the honors.

Russo went 8-for-16 at the plate while recording nine runs and three RBIs for Bloomsburg as the Huskies went 5-0 on the week. The redshirt-sophomore tallied three multi-hit games and posted a pair of doubles and a home run. Russo's week kicked off with a 2-for-4 performance in road bout with Pitt-Johnstown that saw the centerfielder post a solo home run. The Sugarloaf native tallied three stolen bases and went 2-for-3 in the the opening game of the Huskies' series with Shippensburg. In total, Russo notched six stolen bases across the week. Russo currently leads the PSAC in stolen bases with 25. He also sits second in the conference in batting average (.466), third in on base percentage (.554) and third in runs (30).

For the fourth time in five starts, Ritchey pitched at least five innings without an earned run allowed. In the series deciding game against Shepherd, Ritchey pitched five scoreless, scattering six hits (five singles) and struck out seven while issuing just one walk. The Marauders went on to earn the victory, 7-0.

Whalen led the Griffins to a 5-0 week including wins over Shippensburg and a four-game sweep of IUP. Whalen was 12-20 (.600) with six runs scored, two doubles, a triple, two homers, and 10 RBIs. Jack was 3-for-3 in stolen bases and 13-13 in chances in the outfield. He was 4-for-5 at the dish in the final game at IUP with three runs scored, two homers and seven RBIs.

Herb recorded a pair of saves in the Griffins' four-game sweep of IUP. He worked 4.0 total innings, allowing just one hit and no runs while striking out five. Herb earned a save in both game 1's of the two doubleheaders.
