LOCK HAVEN, Pa. --- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced its fourth set of Baseball Athletes of the Week. In the East, Shippensburg's AJ Wenrich (Athlete of the Week) and West Chester's Julian Costa (Pitcher of the Week) were selected. In the West, Jon Fijalkowski (Athlete) and California's Beau Bigam (Pitcher) earned the honors.

Wenrich was exceptional at the plate in the Raiders' four-game series sweep over Lincoln (Pa.), totaling eight hits, nine RBIs, seven runs scored, and 17 total bases in 14 plate appearances. During Saturday's doubleheader, Wenrich went 5-for-6 with a home run, two doubles, a triple, seven RBIs, two walks, and four runs scored. He was a single shy of the cycle in Game 1, going 3-for-3 with three of the extra-base hits and all seven of his RBIs. The senior outfield finished the weekend with an .800 batting average, an .857 on base percentage, and a 1.700 slugging percentage.

Costa etched his name into West Chester history on Saturday evening as he threw his second career no-hitter and second in as many seasons, becoming the first player in school history to throw multiple no-hitters. Last season, Costa ended the month of February with his first career no-hitter and became the first Golden Ram pitcher since Nicholas Frank in 1947 to throw a no-hitter. On Saturday against Frostburg State, Costa carried a perfect game into the sixth inning before yielding his fist of three walks. Costa limited the Bobcats to just three baserunners via a walk as he struck out eight over the course of his seven-inning no-hitter.

Fijalkowski had an outstanding four-game series in his native North Carolina last week, batting .500 and filling the stat sheet in games against Chestnut Hill and Mansfield. He slashed .500/.615/1.200 for an OPS of 1.815, going 5-of-10 with 10 RBIs, two home runs, one double, and four runs scored. In the first game against Chestnut Hill he entered as a pinch hitter, going 1-for-1 with a three-run home run, a walk drawn, and two runs scored. He smacked a three-run home run against Mansfield on Saturday, and went 2-for-4 with three RBI against Chestnut Hill in their second meeting of the weekend.

Bigam earned a complete-game victory on Sunday, as the Vulcans opened play in Florida with a 5-3 victory against St. Cloud State of the NSIC. He allowed three runs (one earned) on four hits and one walk over 9.0 innings. Bigam tossed 104 pitches (73 strikes) while recording the first complete game of his career. The Connellsville product held the Huskies scoreless through six innings before they scored three runs in the top of the seventh.
