LOCK HAVEN, Pa. --- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced its eighth set of Baseball Athletes of the Week. In the East, Shepherd's Bodie Pullen was named Athlete of the Week while West Chester's Julian Costa (Pitcher of the Week) was also selected. In the West, IUP's Camden Rhude (Athlete) and Gannon's Logan Ayres (Pitcher) earned the honors.

Pullen batted .600 (9-15) to lead the Rams to a 5-0 week. He drove in nine runs and scored 13, totaling a slugging percentage of 1.400 and an on-base percentage of .714. He had three home runs, a triple, a double, and a pair of stolen bases.

Costa turned in another complete-game shutout on Friday against Kutztown to improve to 6-1 on the year as the senior lefthander struck out a career-high 12 and allowed just four hits on 85 pitches in seven innings of work. The veteran also moved into solo second place on the career wins chart with 28 as he continues his pursuit of Jeff Brennan’s career win record of 30 after breaking the career strikeout record earlier this spring.

Rhude helped guide IUP to two PSAC wins this week over Slippery Rock. Over five total games this week, he had four home runs, including two in a game against Point Park. He drove in ten runs, with two games of four RBI and three games with multiple RBI. He also scored eight runs. Camen has moved into second on the team with five home runs while playing in just 20 of the 28 total games for IUP.

Ayres recorded two saves on the week while setting a new Gannon program record with his ninth career save. He made three appearances out of the bullpen, totaling 2.2 innings pitched with one earned run allowed and one strikeout, while holding opposing batters to a .273 average. Ayres helped Gannon close out a 4-0 sweep over PSAC opponent California (Pa.), consistently delivering in high-leverage situations to secure victories for the Golden Knights.
