PSAC Golf Athletes of the Week - 10

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced its Golf Athletes of the Week. For Men's Golf, West Chester's Will Hilton was selected as Athlete of the Week. For Women's Golf, California's Ari Kaser and West Chester's Hanna Lignell were recognized as Co-Athletes of the Week.

Hilton won the individual title at the Dr. Edwin B. Cottrell Invitational at Penn Oaks on Tuesday afternoon with back-to-back rounds of 72 (+4; 144) to finish atop the 69-player leaderboard. Hilton bested a number of Division I golfers from Lafayette and Rider, who took first and second on the team leaderboard and helped West Chester to a fourth-place team finish with a 36-hole score of 611 (306, 305).
 



PSAC Women's Golf Co-Athlete of the Week

Kaser captured medalist honors for the third time in her career on Saturday at the Stateline Shootout hosted by Mount St. Joseph (OH). She carded a 10-over 156 (76-80) to win the event by two strokes. Kaser tied for the lead in the field with 24 pars over two days and was the lone player to fire an eagle. The Ohio native helped the Vulcans finish second in the team standings, their highest showing of the season.
 



PSAC Women's Golf Co-Athlete of the Week

Lignell finished second on the individual leaderboard at +10 (78, 76) to help lead West Chester to the team title at the Dr. Edwin B. Cottrell Invitational at Penn Oaks on Tuesday afternoon. Lignell finished just three strokes back of Gabriela Aya from Division I New Haven and helped West Chester card a two-day score of 635 (323, 312) to capture the Cottrell Invitational crown once again.
