PSAC Men's Soccer Athlete of the Week - 1

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced its first set of Men's Soccer Athletes of the Week for Week 1 of the 2026 season. From the West, Gannon's Rafa Hyde (Athlete of the Week) and California's Justin Brink (Defensive Athlete of the Week) were selected. In the East, Bloomsburg's Logan Savage (Athlete) and Millersville's Kehmar Green (Defensive) received the honors.

Hyde helped lead Gannon to a 1-1 record during the opening week of the season, finishing with one goal and one assist for three points over two starts. Hyde totaled six shots, including three on goal, while logging 143 minutes. His goal was Gannon’s first goal of the match in the Golden Knights’ victory over East Stroudsburg.

Brink posted a 1.50 GAA in two games over three days last week, as the Vulcans opened the year with a 1-0-1 mark. He posted a combined six saves while playing all 180 minutes. Brink made one save on eight shots while making his college debut on Thursday in a 2-1 victory against Wheeling. The 6-foot-0 junior then tallied five saves while facing 27 shots, including 10 attempts in the final 14 minutes with the Vulcans down to just nine players, in a 2-2 tie at Shippensburg on Saturday.

Logan Savage led the Bloomsburg men's soccer team to a 2-0 opening weekend with a 3-2 win over Felician and a 3-1 win against Jefferson. While the Huskies had six different goal scorers between the two games, Savage provided a goal against Jefferson and assisted Finn Garner's first goal of the season against Felician. Savage is a mainstay on the Huskies back line which limited opponents to just five shots on goal over the two games and just 13 total shots. Opponents only earned three corner kicks against the Huskies defense.

Green played a key role in the Marauders’ 5-0 victory over Holy Family, anchoring the back line while helping limit the Tigers to just three shots, none of which were on target. The junior also contributed offensively, recording an assist late in the first half when he found Juan Ortiz, setting him up for the opportunity to score.
