LOCK HAVEN, Pa. --- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference has announced its Men’s Basketball Athletes of the Week. In the West, California's Zyan Collins (Athlete of the Week) and Slippery Rock's Jomo Goings (Defensive Athlete) were selected. In the East, it was the East Stroudsburg duo of Lakeem McAliley (Athlete) and Jaelen McGlone (Defense) earning the honors.

Collins averaged 20.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.7 steals per game as the Vulcans won three home games to match their best start in two decades at 10-0 overall. He shot a combined 62.2 percent (23-of-37) from the floor while playing 36.0 minutes per game. Collins scored a season-high 25 points on 10-of-14 shooting on Dec. 13 in a 94-90 victory over Wheeling. He also tallied four assists, one block and four steals as the Vulcans erased a 19-point deficit with eight minutes left to play versus the Cardinals. On Monday, the Virginia native posted 23 points, seven rebounds and four assists in a 100-71 win against Shippensburg. Collins then registered 13 points, seven rebounds and two assists on Tuesday in a 93-71 victory over Lock Haven.

Goings helped the Slippery Rock men’s basketball team produce a 2-1 record last week with PSAC crossover victories against Shippensburg and Shepherd as well as a close loss at Davis & Elkins, the No. 7 team in the latest D2CSC Atlantic Region Poll. Over three games, Goings, SRU’s top perimeter defender, averaged 1.7 blocks, 1.0 steals and 3.3 defensive rebounds per game in addition to 12.0 points per game on the offensive end of the court. Goings posted at least one block in all three games, with the highlight being a two-block, two-steal, six-defensive rebound performance in The Rock’s 93-77 victory over Shippensburg.

McAliley averaged 27.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 1.5 steals, 1.5 assists, and a block in two PSAC crossover wins against Clarion and UPJ this week. He shot 70.4 percent from the field (19-of-27), 67.7 (4-of-6) from long distance and 86.7(13-of-15) from the free throw line. He scored 55 points in 50:32 of time on the court and became the fifth Warrior to score 1,000 career points during a junior season. He recorded a 32/11 double-double in just 21 minutes in the win over Pitt-Johnstown.

McGlone totaled 10 steals and averaged 3.5 rebounds in this week's wins over Clarion and Pitt-Johnstown. He also chipped in with 19.5 points per game offensively. He totaled six steals in the game against Clarion, tying for the second-most by a Warrior in the Jeff Wilson era (since 2002-03), and only turned the ball over three times in 43-plus minutes.
