PSAC Men's Basketball Athletes of the Week - 15

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference has announced its Men’s Basketball Athletes of the Week. In the West, Seton Hill's Kedrick Curtis (Athlete of the Week) and Gannon's Mackenzie Morgan (Defensive Athlete) were selected. In the East, Millersville's Day Waters (Athlete) and Cesar Tchilombo (Defensive) were honored.

Curtis helped the Griffins to a 2-0 week to earn the fourth seed and a home playoff game in the PSAC Tourney, with an 85-70 win over UPJ and an 89-86 victory over Edinboro.  Curtis averaged 21 points and 8.5 rebounds per game in the pair of wins, shooting 16-of-22 from the floor and adding seven assists and two steals.



Western Division Defensive Athlete of the Week

Morgan recorded six steals and 10 rebounds over two games, consistently applying perimeter pressure and disrupting opposing offenses in wins over Clarion and IUP. His defensive effort helped the No. 5 men’s basketball team secure the No. 1 seed in the PSAC West and finish the regular season at 26–2 overall and 19–1 in PSAC play.

Waters scored 25 points, grabbed seven rebounds and recorded three steals in an overtime win over first-place West Chester to help Millersville secure the No. 1 seed in the PSAC East. Waters drilled 9 of 14 shots, made 4 of 6 from three and went 3 for 3 at the line. He led all scorers in the game.

Tchilombo led Millersville to the PSAC East No. 1 seed with an overtime win over West Chester by totaling eight rebounds, three blocks and three steals. Millersville held West Chester to 26.5% shooting and generated 17 turnovers.
