Pitt-Johnstown wins ninth consecutive PSAC Wrestling Dual Championship

The Pitt-Johnstown men's wrestling team secured its ninth consecutive PSAC Wrestling Dual Championship with its 22-13 win over Gannon on Friday night, compiling an unbeaten 6-0 PSAC dual meet schedule in 2024-25. With UPJ leading 16-13 in the final bout of the evening at 285 pounds, Isaiah Vance picked up a 20-second first-period fall to clinch the 2025 title. The Mountain Cats finished ahead of Gannon (4-2) and Kutztown (4-1) thanks to victories over both teams (tonight's over Gannon and 29-16 over Kutztown back on Jan. 17).

Pitt-Johnstown finished with a 13-2 overall dual meet record and now awaits the 2025 NCAA Division II Wrestling Super Region 1 Tournament, taking place March 1 on the campus of Fairmont State University.

Selections for the 2025 NCAA Division II National Championship will be announced at 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 2.
