PSAC Women's Soccer Athletes of the Week - 4

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced its fourth set of Women's Soccer Athletes of the Week for the 2025 season. From the Eastern Division, West Chester's Kianna Barber (Athlete of the Week) and East Stroudsburg's Emmilia Clarkson (Defensive Athlete of the Week) earned the honors. In the West, the Gannon's Brooklyn Respecki (Athlete) and Edinboro's Brianna Garey (Defensive) were selected.

Barber continued her hot streak this week as she scored the game-winner against Kutztown and Lock Haven as part of an outstanding five-point week. Against Kutztown, Barber scored midway through the second half, and that goal was the difference in a statement 1-0 win over the Golden Bears. On Saturday night at Lock Haven, Barber scored the game-winner and assisted on another goal for her second game-winner of the week and fourth goal in five games.

Clarkson earned two shutout victories (against No. 21 Bloomsburg and Shippensburg), anchoring a defense that did not concede a single goal. Against Bloomsburg, she made two saves on two shots on goal from the Huskies. Against Shippensburg, she made nine saves, including seven in the second half to preserve a 1-0 lead.

Respecki led Gannon to a 2–0 week in PSAC West play, contributing a point in each match. She totaled two goals and one assist across road wins at Edinboro and Pitt-Johnstown, including the game-winning goal against UPJ. She paced the Golden Knights with 16 shots, nine on goal, and averaged 2.5 points per game for the week as Gannon outscored its opponents 5–2 and held a commanding 57–11 edge in shots.
 



PSAC Western Division Defensive Athlete of the Week

Garey was stellar in net, going 1-1, allowing just two goals, and making 18 saves in pair of conference games last week. Against No. 7 Gannon, Garey made 12 saves and then turned around on Saturday and blanked California -- tallying six saves for her third shutout of the season.
