PSAC Cross Country Athletes of the Week - 1

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced its first pair of Cross Country Athletes of the Week. Bloomsburg's Olivia Magagna was selected as the Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week, while California's Jonathan Thrush earned the Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week honor.

Magagna shined in her Bloomsburg women's cross country debut as we won the Doug Watts Open hosted by Edinboro as a shortened preview of the 2025 PSAC Cross Country Championships. The Huskies finished third out of 11 scoring teams with 57 team points in the 5K race. Magagna won the 5K race with a time of 18:06.2 as her closest competitor was over 10 seconds behind.

Thrush earned the individual title on Friday, as the Vulcans opened the season at Race in the Park hosted by Gannon. He won the six-kilometer race by 14 seconds after crossing the finish line with a time of 18:48.0. Thrush has now posted a first-place individual finish five times in his cross country career.
