LOCK HAVEN, Pa. --- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference released its second set of Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week. For the women, Shippensburg's Shaela Kruskie was selected as Track Athlete of the Week while East Stroudsburg's Porschia Bennett (Field) was also honored. For the men, Slippery Rock's John Juszynski (Track) and Shippensburg's Jackson Hersh (Field) were recognized.

Last Friday night in the rain and the cold at Lynchburg, Kruskie won the 10K at the Dr. Jack M. Toms Alumni Invitational with a sensational PR. She used a strong kick to win the race in a new personal-best time of 36:26.16 that ranks her No. 8 all-time in school history in the 10K. The time currently leads the PSAC by two minutes. It was just the third career 10K for Kruskie – who enhanced her previous best by an incredible three minutes and 14 seconds.

Bennett won the high jump at the Danny Curran Invitational after she cleared 1.70m (5-7) to earn both an automatic PSAC qualifying and NCAA Provisional marks. She leads the conference in the event and ranks tied for third in all of Division II.

Juszynski posted the No. 1 3,000-meter steeplechase time in the PSAC this week at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational with a time of 9:30.28. That mark is 13 seconds faster than the current No. 2 time in the PSAC.

At Lynchburg's Dr. Jack M. Toms Alumni Invitational, Jackson Hersh recorded the No. 3 all-time mark in the javelin in school history with a new personal best of 224 feet, 2 inches (68.34 meters). It was achieved on his sixth and final throw, capping a strong sequence that included five straight tosses of at least 204 feet. His throw is eight feet farther than the No. 20 mark in the nation last season (216 feet, 2 inches). His previous PR (212 feet, 4 inches – set last year at Lynchburg) ranked No. 24 in NCAA Division II in 2025. His 2026 mark currently leads the PSAC and ranks sixth in Division II.
