Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week
Shaela Kruskie
Shippensburg
Distance
Sophomore
Selinsgrove, Pa. / Selinsgrove
Kruskie put forth another SU all-time Top 10 performance on Saturday night by completing the invitational section of the 5K at Bucknell's Bison Outdoor Classic in 17:05.19. The performance ranks her No. 6 all-time in school history. It was her second collegiate outdoor 5K overall; Saturday night's run was an improvement of 1 minute, 47 seconds from her previous effort last April on the home track. It is the fastest 5K time in the PSAC this season by a five-second margin.
Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week
Alice Bogia
Slippery Rock
Triple Jump
Senior
Fleetwood, Pa. / Oley Valley
Bogia took third overall and was the top Division II finisher in the triple jump at the Bison Outdoor Classic hosted by Bucknell with a career-best and NCAA provisional leap of 12.12 meters, which moved her all the way up to No. 13 on the national leaderboard this spring.
Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week
Tommy Crum Jr.
Shippensburg
Mid-Distance
Junior
Carlisle, Pa. / Boiling Springs
On Saturday night at the Bison Outdoor Classic, Crum Jr. shattered the all-time PSAC record in the 1,500 meters at Bucknell's prestigious Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium, running 3:43.93. Crum Jr., who broke the all-time PSAC indoor record in the mile back in February, recorded the outdoor equivalent on Saturday. Crum Jr. surpassed the PSAC record (3:45.62) by 1.7 seconds. That mark was set last season at the Bison Outdoor Classic by IUP's Mike Formica – which itself was a historic performance as it erased one of the longest standing league records on the books. Prior to Formica's run last season, the PSAC's 1,500-meter record had been shared by Shippensburg Hall of Famer Gary Bicking and Edinboro's Carl Leonard. Bicking ran 3:45.64 at the 1980 NCAA Division II National Championships (to place third and earn All-America honors) while Leonard achieved the same time in 1995 with the Fighting Scots. Bicking's 46-year-old school record was the oldest remaining on the Shippensburg University men's record books. It was his fifth collegiate outdoor 1,500-meter race and a personal best of more than eight seconds, as Crum obliterated his old PR of 3:51.92 set in April 2024 at William & Mary (he redshirted the 2025 outdoor season due to injury). Crum Jr. now ranks 16th on the NCAA Division II national performance list.
Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week
Luke Stevenosky
East Stroudsburg
Javelin
Sophomore
Branchdale, Pa. / Minersville
Leading the field events at the Bison Outdoor Classic was Stevenosky's record-breaking performance in the javelin. His throw of 71.86m (235 feet, 9 inches) to win the event surpassed Chris Fredericks's previous ESU record of 235-5 set in 2025. Stevenosky ranks first in the Atlantic Region and second nationally in Division II.
