PSAC Men's Basketball Athletes of the Week - 4

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference has announced its Men’s Basketball Athletes of the Week. In the East, Millersville's Day Waters (Athlete of the Week) and Aamir Hurst (Defensive Athlete of the Week) were honored. In the West, Seton Hill's Kedrick Curtis (Athlete) and Edir Ortiz (Defensive) were selected.

Waters led Millersville to a road win over No. 20 Dominican and a PSAC opener win over Clarion by scoring his 1,000th career point, averaging 25.5 points per game with a career-high 31 points against Dominican. Against previously undefeated Dominican, Waters scored 31 on 12 of 21 shooting, hitting 5 of 11 threes, and adding five rebounds. He followed that performance with a game-high 20 points against Clarion, sinking 4 of 7 threes while also adding two blocked shots.

Hurst led Millersville to a road win over No. 20 Dominican and a PSAC opening win over Clarion by totaling four steals and two blocked shots. He tallied two steals and a block in both games. With Hurst's defense, the Marauders held Clarion to a season-low 35.5% shooting and just 11 assists to 15 turnovers.

Curtis averaged 17 points, 7.5 assists and 7.0 rebounds in a pair of wins for the Griffins over the weekend -- 88-83 over Shippensburg and 93-85 over East Stroudsburg.  He also added four steals and two blocks.  He just missed a triple double with 14 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists in the win over Shippensburg.

Ortiz averaged 8.0 rebounds, 3.0 blocks, and 1.5 steals in a pair of Griffin wins over the weekend, 88-83 over Shippensburg and 93-85 over East Stroudsburg. He added seven assists and three steals.  Edir scored a game high 23 points in the Griffins PSAC opening win at previously unbeaten East Stroudsburg and averaged 18.5 points per game for the week.
