LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced its Women’s Tennis Athletes of the Week. In the West, IUP's Maria Moskaltsova earned the honor. In the East, Millersville's Marian Hayes was selected for the second consecutive week.

Moskaltsova went 3-0 on the week, including two impressive comeback victories against Fairmont St., which was regionally ranked last season. Moskaltsova and her partner Annemiek Sterk came back in No. 1 doubles to secure the doubles point for IUP against FSU. She also had a hard-fought victory at No. 2 singles, winning 6-0 and holding off her opponent in set two 6-4. She was also crucial in IUP's defeat of Seton Hill in the team's first PSAC Match of the season.

In doubles action, the pair of Marian and Lauren Hayes opened the week with a dominant 6–1 win over West Chester, securing Millersville’s lone doubles point . They continued their strong performance against Edinboro, earning another convincing 6–2 victory to help the Marauders sweep doubles and build momentum in a 4–3 team win. Hayes’ impact extended even further in singles play, where she continued her unbeaten spring campaign. Against West Chester, she delivered a commanding straight-set win (6–2, 6–1), improving her perfect start to the season. She followed that performance with another strong showing against Edinboro, earning a 6–4, 6–1 victory to remain undefeated at 5–0.
