PSAC Cross Country Athletes of the Week - 2

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced its second pair of Cross Country Athletes of the Week. West Chester's Kyle Tracey was selected as the Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week, while West Chester's Kristina Tapia earned the Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week honor.

Tracey picked up his second win in as many meets to start his collegiate career as he paced the field in the 8K at the Dickinson Long-Short Invitational with a time of 25 minutes and 38.50 seconds. This time This performance led to him being named the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division II National Athlete of the Week. Tracey has won each of his first two collegiate races as he started his tenure as a Golden Ram with a 5K victory at the WCU Season Opener before winning the Dickinson Long-Short 8K race on Saturday morning.

Tapia started her 2026 season with a win on Saturday morning captured the 6K in 21 minutes and 54.0 seconds to lead the West Chester University women's cross country team to the team title in the 6K at the Dickinson Long-Short Invitational over regional rival Shippensburg. Tapia was one of three Golden Rams in the top five in the 6K.
