PSAC Women's Soccer Athletes of the Week - 8

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced its eighth set of Women's Soccer Athletes of the Week for the 2025 season. From the Eastern Division, the West Chester duo of Victoria Pungello (Athlete of the Week) and Grace Keen (Defensive Athlete of the Week) earned the honors. In the West, Edinboro's Madison Felton (Athlete) and Slippery Rock's Leah Allman (Defensive) were selected.

Pungello scored both goals in the Golden Rams' win over Kutztown and helped neutralize the 18th-ranked Bloomsburg offense as the Golden Rams stretched their winning streak to five in a row and unbeaten streak to 10 last week. With these victories a week ago, West Chester grabbed control of the PSAC East, taking a two-point lead over Kutztown, whom West Chester swept the season series from for first place in the East. Pungello’s two-goal effort on Wednesday night at Kutztown was the senior's first multi-goal performance of her career.

Keen stretched her unbeaten streak to 10 and her shutout streak to five games and over 400 minutes as the junior keeper has not allowed a goal since midway through the first half of a 1-1 draw with Shepherd on October 4. Keen made five saves in her two shutout victories last week, making two at Kutztown on Wednesday and three against Bloomsburg on Saturday to lower her league-leading goals against average to 0.32.

Felton scored a pair of free kick goals the help the Scots overcome a 1-0 deficit to visiting California on Wednesday, eventually winning the contest 3-1. The Fighting Scots also bested Seton Hill, 1-0, to move to 6-5 in PSAC West play and clinch a spot in this year's PSAC tournament.

Allman led Slippery Rock to a 2-0-0 week overall, totaling eight saves in two victories over Indiana University (Pa.) and Pitt-Johnstown. Against IUP, Allman made four stops en route to shutting down the nation's goal leader and a top five scoring offense in Division II, helping The Rock to a 1-0 win over the Crimson Hawks. To finish up the week against UPJ, Allman made four stops in a combined shutout effort with Allie Burkholder, giving SRU a 3-0 win over the Mountain Cats.
